CANDIDATES SOUGHT TO FILL AT-LARGE SEAT Small Resigns from RA Board of Directors

(Posted Dec. 1, 2022) At-Large Director, Glenn Small (pictured above), resigned from the Reston Association Board of Directors on Monday, Nov. 28. Small joined the Board in April 2022 and held a 3-year term on the Board.

In his letter of resignation to RA CEO Mac Cummins and the Board of Directors, Small said, “This RA board service was always a ‘stretch assignment,’ both in terms of bandwidth and association board experience. I had only the desire to see if I could be helpful and to bring an outsider perspective. I think I’ve learned a lot and could be helpful going forward, but in looking at my personal and professional commitments, I’m not able to continue as a board member.”

“On behalf of the board, I want to thank Glenn very much for his service to the community and his leadership on Information Technology (IT) related matters. We are indebted to him for his many hours of hard work and guidance in helping the board navigate the IT landscape. We wish him the very best and hope that he will continue to stay engaged with RA and the IT Committee,” said RA President Sarah Selvaraj-D’Souza.

A call for candidates is being issued by the association. Members can submit their applications by 5 p.m. EST on Friday, Dec. 30, 2022. The board will then appoint a new At-Large director to serve on the board until the upcoming election.
