RA Board Fills Open Seat

(Posted Jun. 23, 2023) The Reston Association Board of Directors held its regular monthly meeting Thursday, June 22 and selected Jalal Mapar to fill the vacant At-Large seat until the next RA election in the spring of 2024. At that time, RA members will vote for a slate of eligible candidates to fill several positions on the nine-member board.

The At-Large seat became open when the former director, Sarah Selvaraj-D’Souza, resigned from the board on May 26. All board positions are now filled. The month-long voting period in the RA election begins in March. Winners of the election are announced each year at the Annual Members’ Meeting in mid-April.
