Lake Thoreau Pool Permits Approved; Construction Set to Begin

(Posted Jul. 19, 2022) Construction on the Lake Thoreau pool facility will begin within the next couple of weeks. Reston Association recently received final approval from local and state agencies for all the required permits needed to begin the extensive renovation work.

The delay in receiving permits was unanticipated and unprecedented, according to RA’s capital projects team. It took about seven months for the various permits to be approved.

RA expects the project to be completed in about 12 months, depending on weather and potential supply chain issues. The general contractor for the project is Hubert Construction.
