Anton Resigns from RA Board of Directors

(Posted May 31, 2022) Hunters Woods/Dogwood District Director, Caren Anton, resigned from the Reston Association Board of Directors on Tuesday, May 31. Anton served on the board for four years, including a one-year term as RA president in 2021.

In her letter of resignation to Sarah Selvaraj-D’Souza, the current RA president, Anton said it was “an honor to serve the general membership and, especially, to represent the residents of the Hunters Woods/Dogwood District these past four years.”

“On behalf of the board and our members, I’d like to thank Caren for her dedication and service to the Reston community,” said D’Souza.

Anton is the second director on the nine-member panel to resign from the board since the month-long election results were tallied in April. Timothy J. Dowling resigned on April 13, the day the newly elected board selected its new officers for the year. Dowling’s at-large seat was filled by the board on May 26 when John Farrell was selected by the board to serve a one-year term.

The board will now move to fill the vacant Hunters Woods/Dogwood seat. A call for candidates is being issued by the association. Members who live in the district can submit their applications by 9 a.m. on June 10, 2022. The board will then appoint a new director to serve on the board until next year’s election.
