Reston Association Announces Call for Candidates for Board of Directors

Upcoming election will begin in March 2024

Reston Association is seeking candidates to serve on its Board of Directors. A total of four seats will be open for the election in 2024, which will be held in March. All RA homeowners and tenants in good standing can file candidacy forms for the following positions on the nine-member board:

•          (2) At-Large Director (3-year term)

•          South Lakes District Director (3-year term)

•          Apartment Owners’ Representative (2-year term)

“The Board has played a crucial role in shaping our community. Its members have been stewards of Reston's values, advocating for green initiatives, recreation, and preserving our neighborhoods,” said Ed Abbott, Chair of Reston Association’s Election Committee. “Running for the board means actively contributing to our community's legacy.”

Candidacy forms must be filed by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 26 either via email to bcopeland@reston.org or in person at Reston Association headquarters (12001 Sunrise Valley Drive, Reston, VA 20191). Additional information will be provided at an Election Information Session scheduled for January 16 at 6:00 p.m. Questions may be sent to electionscommittee@reston.org.

Voting in the annual Reston Association Board of Directors election begins March 1, 2024.
