Reston Association 2024 Recreation Passes Now Available

(Posted Jan. 24, 2024) Reston Association recreation passes to enjoy RA pools, courts and other amenities in the 2024 season are now available. The RA Board of Directors voted during budget development in late 2023 to make recreation passes free for RA Members in good standing as a new benefit of RA’s assessment fee. Passes are available to purchase for guests and for non-RA members who would like to take advantage of RA amenities. 

“As part of last year’s community survey, our members told us they often wanted to take advantage of the amenities provided by RA but that the added pass costs often made those amenities inaccessible,” said Laura Kowalski, Director Recreation for Reston Association. “Our Board of Directors felt that we wanted to pass this benefit on to our members through complimentary passes, as those members are already supporting the maintenance of these facilities through assessments.” 

Reston Association’s annual assessment fee pays for the maintenance of pools and courts, as well as the lakes, trails, open spaces and operations of the organization. While member passes are now complimentary, members will still need to have a physical pass to access facilities. Passes can be obtained or renewed online or at RA Headquarters at 12001 Sunrise Valley Drive during regular business hours.  

The 2023 community survey indicated that nearly 98% of RA members took advantage of RA amenities in some way; complimentary recreation passes are an added benefit that means to encourage members to take advantage of the unique opportunities available as a part of this community. 

Non-members seeking to purchase passes and members looking to obtain guest passes can do so in-person or online. Purchased pass options include individual and family passes for all-access or for court access only.
