Reston Association Announces 2024 Board of Directors Candidates

(Posted Feb. 1, 2024) A total of seven Reston residents have announced their candidacy in the upcoming Reston Association Board of Directors’ election in 2024. The month-long election will be held in March, and four seats will be open in the upcoming election. All candidate applications have been certified by the RA Elections Committee.

Restonians who have announced their candidacy include:

At-Large Director (3-year term – 2 seats open):

  • Izzy Santa

  • Jalal Mapar

  • Darin Skelly

South Lakes District Representative (3-year term – 1 seat open)

  • Jennifer Jushchuk

Apartment Owners’ Representative (2-year term – 1 seat open):

  • Lynda McCann-Ovington

  • Carolina Mejia

  • Margaret Perry

All Reston Association members in good standing are eligible to vote in the Board of Directors election, which will run from March 1-April 1, 2024. Members may cast their votes online or via mail-in ballot. A 10-percent quorum is required to validate election results.

The Reston Association Board of Directors oversees the association’s overall goals and policy matters, including setting the biennial budget which determines the annual assessment fee for members.
