Resources to Inform Your Spring Planting Plan

(Posted Mar. 12, 2024) As Spring planting plans are well underway, community associations in Reston should ensure their familiarity with Plant NOVA Natives’ resources and education, in addition to Fairfax County’s Conservation Assistance programs and toolkits.

Plant NOVA Natives offers an abundance of free resources including:

  • Grants and discounts;

  • Links and and events with local plant native experts; and

  • Tutorials and libraries on Virginia native plant life and habitat design.

The County’s Northern Virginia Soil and Water Conversation District offers stormwater management assistance for drainage and erosion projects, in addition to a wide variety of resources on Virginia and Fairfax County Conservation Association Programs.

Cluster and condo association stakeholders interested in learning more about these opportunities, particularly those offered by the NVSWCD, should SAVE THE DATE for Covenants’ Drainage 101 event held at RA’s headquarters and conducted remotely via Zoom at 6:00pm on Tuesday, April 30th. More information to come!
