Pantone Meter Is Here!

(Posted Jul. 11, 2023) Reston Association’s Covenants Department is pleased to offer the latest in color matching technology in the form of a Pantone CAPSURE color measuring meter, now available by appointment with Covenants Staff!

Pantone’s CAPSURE device provides an instant, accurate Pantone color match to smooth, textured and/or patterned color swatches and surfaces. Pantone color matches are a universal metric for expressing and formulating colors, ensuring that you can accurately replicate colors from your cluster or condo association’s DRB-approved color palette without requiring that the color (paint or stain) be provided by any specific manufacturer.

Representatives of cluster or condo associations can now bring in swatches and samples of paints and stains that may have been discontinued or difficult to source and confirm Pantone color matches for those colors; confirmed Pantone measurements can be used either to allow members to make repairs using paints and stains accurately matched back to current but discontinued palette colors or to serve as a basis for updating the association’s DRB-approved palette moving forward.
