Reston Associaton Elections Commitee Issues Clarification on Board Candidate Statements

(Posted Mar. 11, 2024) Reston Association Elections Committee Chair Ed Abbott today issued a statement regarding candidate profiles in the current 2024 Board of Directors Election

“It has come to our attention that a sentence in a candidate profile was inadvertently omitted in candidate information that was sent to RA voters in their ballot packets,” said Abbott. “The Elections Committee asks that all interested parties review the complete candidate statements in the link below.”

Voting is now underway in the election for the RA Board of Directors, who help to shape the policy and visioning for the Association, including setting the annual member assessment. Reston’s governing documents require a ten percent quorum of eligible voters to validate the election, so each vote is crucial. Ballots may be cast by mail or online; all votes must be received no later than April 1, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.
