Reston Association Seeks Community Input on Possible Shadowood Recreation Area Renaming

(Posted May 1, 2024) Following direction from the Board of Directors, Reston Association is seeking community input surrounding possible renaming of the current Shadowood Recreation Area.  

RA members interested in expressing their views on the topic are invited to take part in an online survey. Submissions will also be accepted at a special Community Input Session at Walker Nature Center on Monday, May 13 beginning at 6:00 p.m. Staff will collect all community input and provide recommendations to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee and the Board of Directors. 

The pool at Shadowood Recreation Area has been closed for renovations for the past two seasons. It is scheduled to reopen on June 15 for the 2024 aquatics season.
