Board of Directors Election

Overview

Each spring, Reston Association members are given the opportunity to elect three new individuals to the Board of Directors. If one or more directors from the nine-member board resign before the end of their three-year term, additional seats with shorter terms could be open in any given election. Members running for a seat in a specific district must reside within that district. Members running for the Apartment Owner's Representative seat in the Category B Election can only be elected by Category B Members (Multi-family Dwelling). The election process is overseen by the Elections Committee and the balloting is done by an independent firm. Results of the election were announced at the Annual Members' Meeting in April and are posted on this web page.

2024 Election

The results of the 2024 election were announced at the Annual Members' Meeting on Tuesday, April 9.

The new and re-elected directors are as follows:

The At-Large and South Lakes district representatives will hold a three-year term. The Apartment Owners’ Representative will hold a two-year term. The candidates were elected by the RA membership during a month-long voting process in March. Voting in the RA election was done online and through mail-in ballots.

The new Board of Directors will hold its initial meeting on April 10 to select officers for the 2024-25 term. The process of the board selecting its officers is done annually.
