Nature Programs

Reston Association provides a multitude of environmental education and fun nature programs throughout the year for all ages from 18 months through adult. Programs are lead by a staff of trained naturalists as well as special guests. Programs include creative public programs, school programs, outdoor explorations, how-to workshops and special events. Programs are held at the Walker Nature Education Center and throughout Reston’s 1,300 acres of open space.

Nature programs support environmental awareness, enjoyment, knowledge and action. Together we can conserve and enjoy Reston’s beautiful natural areas. Come hike, paddle, stargaze, toast a marshmallow, or slosh in a stream with us!

Programs may be cancelled due to severe weather, severe weather warnings or low enrollment. Advance reservations are required for all fee-based programs. E-mail naturecenter@reston.org or call 703-476-9689 and press "5" for reservations and information.
