Coalition for a Planned Reston Meeting

The Coalition for a Planned Reston (CPR) will host a community meeting, Monday, April 23 from 7-9 p.m., in the Reston Association Conference Center, 12001 Sunrise Valley Drive. Updates since the December community meeting will be presented along with CPR survey results and volunteer opportunities to get involved with the coalition.

RA Expresses Condolences for Former Board President

Reston Association is saddened by the passing of its former president, Ellen Graves, who served on the association’s Board of Directors first as vice president and later as president before leaving the governing panel in 2017. Graves died Monday, April 9. “Ellen gave so much to our community,” said current RA President, Sherri Hebert. “She is a role model to all of us. She will be missed by all.”

Lake Anne Fellowship House Update

The proposed redevelopment for the Lake Anne Fellowship House will be reviewed at a work session with the Reston Design Review Board on Tuesday, April 17. The work session will occur one hour prior to the full DRB meeting, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Members of the community are welcome to observe the work session and learn more about the current redevelopment proposal.

Pony Barn Project Update

Because of an area-wide phone outage earlier this week, and the inconvenience that some residents might have experienced trying to reach our office, Reston Association is extending the deadline for members to pay their annual assessment fee to March 8. Reston Named a Best Place to Live

Reston was recently chosen as the Best Place to Live in Virginia by Money magazine. According to Money, for a town to qualify as the best in each state, it should pair "strong economic and educational performance with affordability, and then ticks other boxes as well: convenience, safety, a pleasant way of life."

2018 Annual Assessment

The Reston Association Board of Directors set the 2018 annual assessment at $682. Members can learn more about the fee by visiting our Assessments & Fees web page on www.reston.org. RA will be mailing out information to members about the assessment in the coming days (mid-December).
