PATHWAY FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

Bring your family, including the dog, on a leisurely 2 mile, guided walk on one of Reston’s many paved pathways. Explore a small part of the 55 miles of pathways we have in Reston. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a friend. This walk should take approximately 65 minutes. A delicious picnic lunch will await you at the end.

Dance Under the Stars

Mark your calendar now for Reston’s third annual Dance Under the Stars.
Cosponsored by Reston Community Center, Reston Association, Reston Hospital Center, and Tall Oaks at Reston! Dance the night away at the Reston Town Center Pavilion with renowned conductor, Doc Scantlin,

WRITE YOUR MEMORIES INTO MEMOIRS

This 10 week class will teach you how to capitalize on your life experiences by turning memories into fascinating family stories. The class facilitator guides weekly discussions of writing topics with fellow classmates in a supportive and lively setting. At the end of the program, your stories will be bound in a book format and given to you as a keepsake. Class size is limited to 12. Registration is required. Call 703-435-6530 to register.

Older American's Month Celebration: “American Senior Idol”

Join friends and neighbors to celebrate Older Americans Month. This year's celebration will highlight our local musical talent. Exhibitors specializing in aging issues will be on-hand for you to visit with and gather information. Reston Hospital will also provide numerous health screenings.

Instructor Pat Blackmon, a senior herself at 69, combines her love of cycling and her extensive
experience in senior sports to create a bike touring
company. Pat’s knowledge, energy, and enthusiasm have created a company qualified to bring seniors the joy of touring on bikes.

TEA TIME at OATLANDS PLANTATION

Visit this National Historic Landmark in Leesburg to hear its stories, feel its history and enjoy a delicious tea. Relive a piece of Virginia history as we tour the Greek Revival Manor house and meander through four acres of gardens and terraces where we will also find the 1810 greenhouse, the second oldest of its type in America. After tea, there will be plenty of time to browse in the Carriage House Gift Shop, featuring a variety of souvenirs, unique gifts, books, jewelry, children's items and home accessories.
