AQUATICS
The mission of the Aquatics department is to provide Reston residents with an array of aquatic facilities and programs. Members can participate at all levels - including learn-toswim programs, safety training and exercise classes or relaxing by the pool - and do so at well-maintained, clean facilities under local health department standards and managed by a trained, superior staff.
Please remember, internet
receipts of purchased pool passes may not be used to
gain entry into RA Pools
A
2008 Reston Association Pool and Tennis pass is required
for every member visiting the pool. To protect your
member privileges, adults may also need to present
current photo identification proving Reston residency.

For your protection and benefit,
each Reston Association Pool has rules signs posted
at each pool’s
amenities (including, but not limited to: main
entrance, main pool, spa, wading pool, diving board,
and slide). Please familiarize your self, family
and guests to all rules when visiting any Reston
Association Pool Facility. Reston Association is
proud to continue to provide safe and fun swimming
facilities for all Reston Association Members.

INCLEMENT WEATHER
In the event of a storm (or if the weather is cool, raining or drizzling) all Reston Association pools will close for OPEN and ADULT SWIM with
two exceptions: Lake Thoreau and North Shore Pools (unless normally closed on that day).
LIGHTNING
All Reston Association pools will close until one half-hour after the last lightning is sighted.
PROGRAMS/LESSONS:
All programs, lessons and private rentals will continue unless otherwise stated. Cancellations will be determined on site at event time.

2008 SUMMER POOL SCHEDULE CHANGE!: In Season 3, Hunters Woods Pool & Spa Adult Swim Hours will run from 6:00am - 8:00am.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING CHANGES TO THE POOL SCHEDULES:
May 25 (Lake Audubon Pool) - Reston Masters Swim Team Annual Lake Swim. The Pool will open a 1pm.

May 24 - All pools open on weekend schedule for Memorial Day
June 17 - All pools open at 1pm for the last day of Fairfax Public Schools (unless regularly scheduled to open earlier in the day)
July 4 - All pools will close at 6pm
Saturdays, June 7 - July 26 - Some pools open at 1pm due to RSTA Swim Meets. See RSTA schedule for more details
Sundays, July 13 & 20 - Some pools will close at 5:30 pm due to RSTA Pool Parties. See RSTA schedule for more details
July 16 (Lake Newport Pool) - Pool will close at 4pm due to RSTA IM Finals
July 27 - All pools close at 7:00 pm for Lifeguard Olympics
September 1 - All pools open on weekend schedule for Labor Day.
Pool hours not listed are reserved for maintenance, rentals, camp use, or staff training.
Relax and enjoy quiet time at a pool! Please be courteous to fellow members by keeping cell phone and music use limited, or move to a picnic table.
Adult Swim - These hours are reserved pool pass holders ages 16 and older, to enjoy exercising or relaxing in an adult setting. Thank you for your comments, we have increased Adult Swim hours at North Hills Pool to 7pm on Tuesdays, enjoy!
New for 2008 Only
Hunters Woods Pool will open for Adult swim 6-8:30am due to the Reston Community Center pool temporarily closing for renovation. Please join us for Water Aerobics and Lap Swim!

Reston Association will be hosting its 7TH ANNUAL LIFEGUARD OLYMPICS
Come and cheer on your favorite Reston Association Lifeguard Pool Staff! All pools will close at 7 pm to enable each pool staff to participate.

The RSTA is an independent swim team program working in cooperation with the Reston Association Aquatics Department. With nine teams in the community, swimmers of all skill levels are invited to participate.
Ages: 6–18 years

Lake Audubon Pool June 7, 28 and July 5
Lake Newport Pool June 7, 28, July 19 and 26
Newbridge Pool June 14, July 5 and 12
North Shore Pool June 14, 21 and July 19
Ridge Heights Pool June 14, 21 and July 12
All-Star Meet will be held at Lake Newport Pool, July 26 (7 am - 1 pm).
IM Finals will be held at Lake Newport Pool, July 16 (4–10 pm).
RSTA Pool Parties
All parties begin at 5:30 pm. Newbridge party is scheduled for July 13.
All other parties for the RSTA pools listed above are scheduled for July 20.

1-MILE & 2-MILE LAKE SWIMS
Sunday, May 25.
Reston Masters Swim Team is holding its annual lake swim at Lake Audubon. Proceeds from the swims are donated to the Lymphoma Foundation of America. For more information on the 1 or 2-mile swim, visit
www.restonmasters.org.
Practice Lake Swim will be on May 24 at Lake Audubon pool from 8 am - 11 am. Participants, please park on Twin Branches Rd. Please Note: Lake Audubon Swimming Pool will open at 1 pm on May 25.
