Hunters Woods Picnic Pavilion
(the James "Jimmy" Wright Memorial Pavilion), at the corner of Steeplechase
Drive and Reston Parkway. Size: 842 square feet.
One of RA's newer pavilions, it is located
in Hunters Woods Park. This pavilion is a small gathering
area, ideal for groups who may be making use of the park's
soccer/football field or basketball courts, or for those
who may be spending an afternoon with children at the tot
lot. Just off the pathway, the pavilion sits within the park
forest. In the warmer months, RA members may take a dip at
Hunters Woods pool, and enjoy a picnic lunch at the nearby
pavilion. The pavilion offers 4 covered picnic tables, 1
grill, and ample parking (shared parking at Hunters Woods
pool).

North Hills Picnic Pavilion

Village Road and Hollow Timber. Size: 1024 square feet.
North Hills Picnic Pavilion, situated
in North Hills Park, offers a lovely setting year-round for
a variety of gatherings, from parties to wedding receptions
to Girl Scout Troop meetings. The wisteria-draped arbors
add a naturally decorative accent to RA's most contemporary
pavilion. North Hills Picnic Pavilion offers electricity*,
water*, lights, 3 large brick barbecue grills, 2 rest-rooms,
6 picnic tables (under cover of pavilion) and ample parking.*
Electricity is accessible through a two-plug outlet. Water
can be obtained via one water outlet.

Pony Barn
At the corner of Steeplechase
Drive and Triplecrown Road. Size: 2006 square
feet.
The Pony Barn, at one time an actual
stable for horses, is nestled in a secluded wooded setting
in the Hunters Woods section of Reston. The perfect spot
for a family picnic, scout gatherings, or other group meetings,
visitors have easy access to nearby Glade Stream Valley Park.
A wood-chipped tot lot, equipped with 2 swings and a jungle
gym, is an inviting place for youngsters to romp and play.
The Pony Barn contains 7 picnic tables, 3 grills, and 3 portable
restrooms.

Temporary Road Picnic Pavilion
At the corner of North
Shore and Temporary Road. Size: 892 square feet.
Situated in a wooded, park-like setting,
Temporary Road Picnic Pavilion has a large, level field,
excellent for activities such as croquet, horseshoes, and
badminton.The pavilion is equipped with 12 picnic tables,
8 of which are under cover of the pavilion, 6 grills, 2 restrooms,
2 swing sets and 4 benches situated throughout the park.
Parking is available in the 16 marked spaces or at curb-side.

Lake Anne Recreation Area

North Shore Drive. Size: 900 square feet.
Lake Anne Recreation Area is
RA's newest recreation spot located in historic Lake Anne. Basketball,
sand volleyball, and tennis courts along with a water spray
fountain, will offer a wide variety of activities for fun-seekers
of all ages. Lake Anne Recreation Area also includes a
tot lot, several benches, 2 large grills, a restroom facility
and 6 covered picnic tables.
