WAZZUP?

Take extremes to new heights! Soar down the zip wire at Hemlock Overlook Park. Visit the National Air & Space Museum in D.C. for an amazing IMAX experience, and make some out of this world tye-dye art. Dare to take flight on the highest roller coaster in this area–the Superman: Ride of Steel–at Six Flags America in Largo, MD.

2. July 7–July 18
South of the Border

Fiesta at the Glade Room! Hike along Great Falls on the southern side, and drive southwest for an awesome cavern tour. Pretend like you’re on the Acapulcan coast as we relax on the shores of Half Moon Beach. Build your own burrito at our Mexican lunch party. Hang ten and try the surf pool at Massanuten Water Park, near Harrisonburg, VA.

3. July 21–August 1
Teen Trends

Who’s your favorite actor or actress, musician or sports star? What are the best outdoor games to play? Where’s the coolest place for teens in the Reston area? How can we help the environment? Visit the Washington Post to see how a newspaper is created. Explore all of this and take a trip to the National Aquarium, the Maryland Science Center and the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, MD.

4. August 4–August 15
Sports Challenge

Create our own Teen Games as we unite for fun, challenge, and celebration while competing for points daily. Show us your stuff in some serious Olympic sports like softball, soccer, and basketball. Then, use your imagination and let loose in some wacky games you won’t see on TV. Put yourself on the front of a cereal box, and have an Olympic sized celebration! We’ll take a sweet trip to Hershey Park, Hershey, PA.
