Camps Overview

Camps Overview

We are the longest operating camp in Reston.  Generations of Restonians, from campers to counselors, have grown up through RA Camps.

For over 40 years, RA Camps have provided children with a fun and safe way to explore Reston's natural environment and its recreational opportunities.  Our camps help children grow physically, emotionally, and socially.  They are encouraged to demonstrate respect for themselves, others, and the environment.  At RA Camps, kids can explore nature, find new talents, try new activities, gain independence, and make lasting friendships and memories.  And, of course, it's fun too.

We are committed to providing your child with a rewarding and memorable experience.  Our safety and supervision exceed the minimum standards for Child Day Centers, as required by the Virginia Department of Social Services.  We hire community leaders for your children who will help build character, positive experiences, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Camp Shirts

Campers attending Junior Day Camp, Sportsters, Day Camp, Science Camp, Soccer Camp, and CIT's are required to wear an official camp t-shirt each day.  Shirts can be purchased online at our website WebTrac or at RA's Member Services, 12001 Sunrise Valley Drive, Reston.  To pick up your online purchase, please bring in your receipt as confirmation of payment.

If a camp session is sold out, you should add your child's name to the waiting list on-line on the WebTrac website.  RA Camps will contact you if a space becomes available.  You may also contact RA Camps for assistance by emailing or by calling 703-435-6551.
