We are the longest operating camp in Reston. Generations of Restonians, from campers to counselors, have grown up through Reston Camps.
For over 40 years, Reston Camps have provided children with a fun and safe way to explore Reston's natural environment and its recreational opportunities. Our camps help children grow physically, emotionally, and socially. They are encouraged to demonstrate respect for themselves, others, and the environment. At Reston Camps, kids can explore nature, find new talents, try new activities, gain independence, and make lasting friendships and memories. And, of course, it's fun too.
We are committed to providing your child with a rewarding and memorable experience. Our safety and supervision exceed the minimum standards for Child Day Centers, as required by the Virginia Department of Social Services. We hire community leaders for your children who will help build character, positive experiences, and memories that will last a lifetime.
Campers attending Junior Day Camp, Sportsters, Day Camp, Science Camp, Adventure Camp, and CIT's are required to wear an official camp t-shirt each day. Shirts can be purchased online at our website WebTrac or at RA's Member Services, 12001 Sunrise Valley Drive, Reston. To pick up your online purchase, please bring in your receipt as confirmation of payment.
If a camp session is sold out, you should add your child's name to the waiting list on-line on the WebTrac website. Reston Camps will contact you if a space becomes available. You may also contact Reston Camps for assistance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 703-435-6551.
Extended Care is provided at our Brown’s Chapel facility.
AM Session 7:30-9:00AM
PM Session 4:00-6:00PM
Extended Care is available at Junior Day Camp, Day Camp, Sportsters, Art Camp, Science Camp, Teen Camp, CIT, Camp on Wheels, Tennis Camp, and Young Naturalists (a.m. only).
As part of the service, RA will transport campers to their appropriate camps in the mornings and get them from camp to Extended Care in the afternoons as needed. These campers will ride the same vans that provide AM and PM transportation from and to private residences and workplaces within Reston. If your child attends Science Camp or Teen Camp, please drop them off at Extended Care by 8:15 a.m., and pick them up no earlier than 4:15 p.m. These recommended times are subject to change.
Extended Care activities are less structured and more independent than regular camp activities. They may include cards, board games, crafts, reading, videos, etc.
