Board President Addresses Golf Course Zoning Issue

Reston, VA - 08.15.2012
--

Note: Reston Association president Ken Knueven today released the following statement regarding the Reston National Golf Course.

Reston Association has been made aware that the owners of Reston National Golf course have initiated a review process with Fairfax County to determine alternative uses for the golf course site.

We are researching the history of zoning for the golf course property and what our options might be.

Two things are in our immediate action plan.

Knowing this matter would have significant impact on the community, we will keep them informed of what we have learned. This includes a letter to all RA property owners that border the golf course, making them aware of our research, the events and a scheduled hearing before the Fairfax County Board of Zoning Appeals on Oct. 24.

We will also be discussing the issue at our next board meeting on Sept. 13 and encourage you to attend.
