Welcome...to the heartbeat of Reston's 1,300 acres of open
space. The Reston Association's Walker Nature Education Center
provides a variety of educational and recreational resources,
programs and facilities. It is the mission of the Walker Nature
Education Center to teach environmental awareness based upon
direct experiences and natural history and to create an environmental
stewardship ethic in the community. The Center enhances people's
awareness, knowledge, appreciation and enjoyment of their
environment.

Limited parking for cars and two
busses is available. Additional cars may be parked
along Glade Drive or at the Glade Pool, which is located
at the intersection of Glade and Soapstone Drives.

The Nature site consists
of 72-acres of hardwood forest, bisected by Glade
Drive which creates a north side (30 acres) and a
south side (41 acres), including:
- One mile of loop trails.
- Open air picnic pavilion.
- Wildflower garden
- Campfire ring
- Picnic tables
- Cram Memorial Meditation Area
- Memorial Sundial
- Glade Stream Valley
- Restrooms
- Outdoor displays
- Demonstration naturescaping

Association's office at 1930 Isaac Newton Square or call 703-435-6530.
Groups may request special programs by calling at least 3
weeks in advance of their desired program date. Activity packs
for self-guided use are also available for loan.

others may enjoy the Nature Center:
- Stay
on the trails.
- Leave
all plants and animals where you find them.
- Deposit
all litter in trash or recycling containers or carry it
out with you.

extreme caution with lit cigarettes or matches.
