Communications Advisory Committee

General function of the Communications Advisory Committee: To provide input and direction to the Association’s communications and public relations program.
 

 
Communications Advisory Committee Seeks Members
If you are a professional communicator with an interest in helping to advise the Reston Association Board of Directors on communications outreach efforts, you may be interested in volunteering for the Communications Advisory Committee. The group meets once a month to work on specific public outreach initiatives for the Reston Association and community.

To be considered, please send an e-mail expressing your interest and outlining specific communications professional experience to Cate Fulkerson via cate@reston.org


 

Meetings: Second Wednesday of each month, except August.

Committee Composition: Up to 15 Reston Association Members, a non-voting liaison from the Board of Directors and one or more staff liaisons.

Responsibilities

Provides support and recommendations on the effectiveness of RA communications and public relations programs and strategies.
 
Encourages the involvement of Members in RA programs, services and initiatives, through support and review of communications.
 
Ensures that communications strategies foster public awareness of the benefits, services, programs and events of the Association and the community.
 
Further, staff recommends that the committee be composed of Members who possess significant experience in professional communications, public relations or public affairs.
