The proposed development project at 1801 Old Reston Avenue by Renaissance Centro, would rezone the approximately 1.51-acre site from the C-3 zoning district to the Planned Residential Mixed Use (PRM) zoning district to allow for the development of a high rise residential building with a total of 150 residential units. The proposed development intensity matches the redevelopment intensity of the site described in the Reston Comprehensive Plan. However, it should be noted that the project site is approximately 1.5 acres and does not meet the minimum lot size for the PRM Zoning District (2.0 acres). The applicants are requesting an exemption from this requirement.
On Oct. 12, 2017, Reston Association staff sent a comment letter about the proposed development to the applicant. The letter can be found on the right-hand side of this page under Resources. The applicant’s proffer conditions for the project require that they join either the Reston Town Center Association or Reston Association. Reston Association has communicated with the applicants about the potential for future membership.
