Three land owners, including JBG Companies, EYA Development, LLC and Chevy Chase Land Company, have submitted a rezoning and development plan application for four adjacent parcels bounded on the north by Sunset Hills Road, on the west by Wiehle Avenue, and on the south by the Dulles Toll Road. The proposed plan includes 1.6M square feet of new development, including multifamily units, single family attached units, independent living for older adults, office space and considerable retail space. Once redeveloped, the four parcels will [be] a mixed-use transit oriented development in the Wiehle Transit Station Area. Final approval of a slightly revised plan was granted by the county in late 2018.
