Reston Association has created a web page for its members to follow the news about the Tetra property purchase. This page will contain information about the pending referendum to decide whether Reston Association can purchase the property located on Baron Cameron Avenue. A link will be posted on April 13 that will direct members to the online ballot.
Reston Association’s Board of Directors passed a motion on Thursday that will begin the process of potentially adding a new property into the association. The portion of the property is known BLVD Residential at Reston Station, and is located near the Wiehle-Reston East Metro station. It is owned by Comstock Partners.
Reston Association announced the hiring of Robert Wood as Chief Financial Officer. Wood’s most recent position was Director of Accounting Operations at Opower in Arlington, Va. He has worked in financial consulting roles as well as audit and compliance. Wood has a Bachelor’s of Commerce – Accounting Science Honors degree from the University of Pretoria in South Africa.

Reston Association is hosting several sites along Snakeden Branch and Colvin Run, two tributaries to the Potomac River. Voting in the 2015 Board of Directors’ election continues through March 30. While the latest report by independent voting agent Intelliscan, Inc., shows that a 10 percent quorum has been reached in all races, Reston Association members are still encouraged to support the candidate of their choice by casting a ballot, either electronically or through the mail.
