The Brand Consultancy, the company hired by Reston Association to conduct a community survey and overall member experience study, delivered its report to the association’s Board of Directors, staff and the RA membership last week. The data in the report will be used to assist RA in better serving its members.
The Reston Association Board of Directors approved the 2020-2021 budget at its Thursday night meeting and set the annual assessment rate at $708. Information about how to pay your assessment will be mailed in December. Members can pay the fee in one lump sum or choose an installment plan.
Reston Association members who are considering running for a seat on the Board of Directors in 2020 are invited to submit an application by Jan. 24. The application and other materials for the upcoming election are now posted on the Board Election page on www.reston.org.
Reston Association will hold an informational meeting about the Lake Thoreau Pool facility project on Monday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. at RA headquarters, 12001 Sunrise Valley Drive.
The Reston Association Board of Directors is considering a proposal to set the 2020 annual assessment rate at $728. The rate, based on the proposed draft of the 2020-2021 budget, would represent a 5 percent increase ($35) from the 2019 assessment and is approximately $130 below the cap permitted by the state.
