The Reston Association Design Review Board (DRB) will hold a public hearing on July 17 to discuss changes to the Design Guidelines. The meeting at RA headquarters will begin at 7 p.m. and the changes will be discussed after other agenda items.

The Reston Association Board of Directors will hold a work session Tuesday, June 5, at 6 p.m. at RA headquarters, 12001 Sunrise Valley Drive. The special meeting will focus on two topics – a resolution related to the board-staff relationship and a recreational facilities analysis.

Fairfax Rescue Team Finds Body of Swimmer

UPDATE (3 p.m. EDT, May 28):  Fairfax County Fire and Rescue recovered the body of 45-year old Falls Church resident Kevin Ruby at Lake Audubon on Monday afternoon. Ruby was a participant in Sunday’s Reston Masters’ Jim McDonnell Lake Swim Event hosted by Reston Masters Swim Team and was reported missing.

Non-Lake Area Residents Encouraged to Join Group

The Reston Association Board of Directors is searching for additional volunteers to serve on the Lakes, Docks & Boats working group. Specifically, the board is seeking representation from residents who do not live on any of Reston’s four lakes. Board members believe this will allow for input from the broader community and not just from lake area residents who are serving on the new panel, which was approved at the regular monthly meeting of the board on Thursday, May 24.
