A resolution concerning an increase in disclosure document fees was adopted by the Reston Association Board of Directors recently and will go into effect Monday, Aug. 20. The new fees are in accordance with the Property Owners’ Association Act, which requires homeowners to provide a potential purchaser with certain legally required information regarding the home.
Chris Schumaker, Senior Capital Projects Operations Manager for Reston Association, presented an update on that status of key projects to the Board of Directors at its monthly meeting Thursday, July 26. The report provided information on second quarter projects and a look ahead to third quarter work.
Reston Association became aware of a video posted on social media recently that shows a former RA seasonal employee making inappropriate comments to a man seated in a vehicle. The association strongly condemns the remarks made by the former employee, who briefly worked at RA from March-August 2015.
The Reston Association Board of Directors selected Andy Sigle as board president at its Thursday, June 28, meeting. Sigle won his at-large seat (a one-year term) on the board during April’s general election.
Longtime Reston resident, Catherine A. Baum, has been selected to fill the vacant Apartment Owners’ Representative seat on the Reston Association Board of Directors, previously held by David Bobzien, who resigned from the board in April after being diagnosed with leukemia.
