(UPDATED April 12, 2018) Victoria White, the Hunters Woods/Dogwood District representative, has resigned from the Reston Association Board of Directors effective April 11, 2018.
“On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to thank Victoria for her service to RA and our community over the past year,” said RA Board President Sherri Hebert.
White recently moved out of her district. According to RA’s governing documents, a board director must reside within the district he or she represent or forfeit their seat if they relocate. Four district directors are elected to the nine-member board. The districts include North Point, Lake Anne/Tall Oaks, South Lakes and Hunters Woods/Dogwood.
The open seat, with a term that expires in April 2019, will be filled after a call for candidates has been issued and the board reviews the candidates at its May 24 meeting.
To apply for the open seat, candidates must be residents of the Hunters Woods/Dogwood District, complete a candidate's statement and discuss qualifications with board members. Deadline for applications is May 11 at 5 p.m. For information contact 703-435-6570 or email email@example.com.
Along with serving on the board, White was on the Covenants Committee and the Board Governance Committee. Various committee assignments are also expected to be selected at tonight’s meeting which begins at 6:30 p.m.
