Reston Association and its Elections Committee are working with independent agent, Intelliscan Inc., to ensure that approximately 3,500 non-apartment renters are mailed election ballots early the week of March 19.
A technical mix-up in the mailing of election materials on March 5 led to some RA members not receiving ballots for the month-long Board of Directors election. The members who did not receive ballots rent privately owned houses, townhomes and condominiums. Apartment renters were not impacted. All RA members, including renters and residential property owners, have until April 2 to vote for candidates running for the four open seats on the board.
Intelliscan officials and the RA Elections Committee confirmed the delay in the mailing will not impact the accuracy or integrity of the voting results. Members can choose to vote online or by mail.
For more information about the RA board election please visit our Board Election page. You can also click here to vote online through Intelliscan. Results of the election will be announced at the annual meeting on April 10 and will be posted on www.reston.org.
