The 2017 voting period in the Reston Association Board of Director’s election will continue through April 3 at 5 p.m. Members of the association are encouraged to cast ballots now electronically or by mail.
Each race requires 10 percent of eligible voters cast ballots to make election results official. Results of the month-long election will be announced at the April 11 annual membership meeting.
The board election page on www.reston.org has information about each candidate in the races for four open seats. Videos of candidate forums held earlier in March are listed on the election page, as are written statements from each participant in the election. Questions about the election can be emailed to Electionscommittee@reston.org.

Reston has a nine-member board. Four of the eight directors each represent a district, generally described as the residential areas of Hunters Woods/Dogwood, Lake Anne/Tall Oaks, North Point and South Lakes, and the remaining four directors are elected from the membership at-large. The RA board is responsible to the membership for seeing that the overall organizational goals of the association are accomplished. By voting in the election, members play a key role in helping to shape the future of Reston.
