Board Passes Motion Regarding Tall Oaks Proposal

The Reston Association Board of Directors voted to “include a residential component” in the Tall Oaks Village Center redevelopment plan. The board, which unanimously approved a new motion at Thursday night’s meeting, stated that “the center should include neighborhood-serving retail and services and a public open space oriented to the Tall Oaks Assisted Living Facility.

Tall Oaks is one of five village centers in Reston. The shopping center at Tall Oaks is being considered for a redevelopment project that would include a mix of residential and commercial uses. The developer, Jefferson Apartment Group, purchased the Tall Oaks Center in December 2014. Click here to read more about the project.
